Glastonbury Abbey features the ruins of one of England's greatest abbeys. It is particularly famous because in 1184, its monks claimed to have unearthed King Arthur's tomb. Set upon 36 acres, the abbey area is at once stunning and tranquil and the perfect place to visit for some downtime. While the abbey is in ruins, its structure is still impressive and is indeed conducive to some serious day dreaming. Open parkland as well as duck and fish ponds are also found here.
