Britannia Pier First opened in 1858, this pier was originally used as a steamship passenger landing and for fishing. During its over 140 year history, the pier had to be rebuilt 4 times due to fire and bombings. Great Yarmouth Seafront Considered Great Yarmouth's greatest attraction is the seafront, with its long Marine Parade and beaches. Two piers are situated along the route: the Britannia, with some attractions and a theatre and Wellington Pier. Both piers were built in the 1850s.
