The Beverley Minster is often regarded as one of the most impressive churches in England and is one of two Anglican minsters in northern England which dominate their cities of residence - in this case, the market town of Beverley near Hull. Work on the minster was started in the 1200s and completed in 1425 making the massive church well over 500 years old. The church is open to the public and offers daily tours of some of its distinctive features.
