Situated in the south east corner of Windsor Great Park, Savill Garden was created by Deputy Ranger Sir Eric Savill in 1932. The lavish assortment of plants in the garden is appealing throughout the year, as each season brings about different colours. Special events occur periodically.
The momentous sealing of the Magna Carta by King John in 1215 occurred in this tranquil meadow. Several memorials are on the land, including one for assassinated US President John F. Kennedy and air force personal who fought and died in the Second World War. Grand views of the River Thames can be taken in from Runnymede.
