Founded by King Henry I in 1132, the Dunstable Priory Church of St. Peter is an excellent example of Normal architecture. The church's Priory Lady Chapel was the site of the annulment of the marriage of Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon, and the church was later closed after the infamous king's Dissolution of the Monasteries.
